Assignment #8 (A)

"Brian cleaned the needle and put the kit away in the canoe, whased the blood from his hands in the lake, found more wood for the fire and built the flames up."(Paulsen, 2003, p.37)

This is a simple sentence. Nevertheless, this sentence has "Brian" as a subject and five verbs separated by commas, such as "cleaned", "put", "washed", "found" and "built", it is composed of one independent clause. That's why it must be a simple sentence.
