Read about Gary felling this voyage in the way that he did is exiting and make me think that not everybody enjoys sailing like him not only sailing but the sea can be seen as an other thing that he loves and it seems like he has to be there in order to make his life and his whole existence complete that is what Gary transmits through this passage.

Where those this sentence ends?
Don't you think that the only reason Gary Paulsen realy and truly is amazed by the sea is because he doesn't spend all is time on it?is it possible that after a while he becomes familiar with the water environment and is not so amaze by it at the end?
Are you missing some periods or comas in the whole paragraph?
